12 Bakes of Christmas! This year, I am doing the 12 Bakes of Christmas! Every day leading up to Christmas I will be sharing a new recipe that I inherited from my Grandma! Some are new, some are old, but all are delicious! Tune in every day at 5 pm to see the 12 Bakes of Christmas!
Day 1: Chocolate Mint Sandwich Cookies
I knew I had to begin the 12 bakes of Christmas with my grandma’s recipe for Chocolate Mint Sandwich Cookies. These were a STAPLE in all of our Holiday gatherings, and there were never leftovers. They are the perfect combination of a soft chocolate cookie, with thick, creamy peppermint frosting!
Day 2: Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is a staple during Christmas time! It adds a nice crispy change up to all the soft cookies of Christmas time! It also happens to be one of my dad’s favorite desserts! This is my grandma’s recipe for peanut brittle, before today, I actually have never made it before! I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is!
Day 3: Spritz Cookies
Day 3 of the 12 bakes of Christmas is Spritz Cookies! This is my great-grandma’s cookie recipe. They are traditional Scandinavian Christmas Cookies, but that didn’t stop her from making them year-round because we loved them so much! There are many ways to make them, from a piping bag, cookie press, or even a cookie scoop! They can also be decorated and customized, and no chilling time, making them a great cookie to make with kids!
Day 4: Ginger Molasses Cookies
Day 4 is one of my favorite cookies! Ginger Molasses! While there is ginger, it is not overpowering. It simply adds a magical amount of spice to enhance these chewy cookies! They are delicious, and even better warm out of the oven!
Day 5: The Best Fudge Recipe
Day 5 of the 12 Bakes of Christmas🎄This is one of my most-looked-forward too recipes when December comes around! It is the best fudge recipe, so much so that I won’t eat any other fudge because it just doesn’t compare! I promise that this will be the richest, creamiest, chocolaty-ist, the best fudge you ever had!
Day 6: Pecan Pie
Day 6 of the 12 bakes of
Christmas! My grandma’s Perfect Pecan Pie is the
recipe for the day! This recipe is an old favorite, and
was in the family cookbook I created last year! It is
super simple to make, you can practically do it in one
bowl
Day 7: Bird’s Nest
Day 7 of the 12 Bakes of
Christmas! Bird’s Nest! This is the first recipe I ever memorized
when I was a kid, they are so easy to make! I love the
chocolate-butterscotch combo. You can’t go wrong
with these no-bake treats! Bird’s Nest are simple to
make, crunchy, chocolaty, and delicious!
Day 8: Cream Cheese Pound Cakes
Day 8 is my grandma’s cream cheese pound cake recipe. It has lots of flavor and is incredibly moist. The cream cheese gives perfect not-too-sweet, goes great with berries and ice cream, flavor! It can also be baked as a bundt cake instead of a traditional pound cake loaf.
Day 9: Cinnamon Rolls
Day 9 is cinnamon rolls! There is something special about cinnamon rolls during the Christmas season, it’s like the Christmas Spirit makes them taste better?! I love adding fun sprinkles to be ✨extra✨festive
