I inherited thousands of recipes from my grandma, now I am baking my way through her collection.

Welcome to Inherited Recipes. I started this blog to share the recipes that I try from my Grandma’s recipe collection. She gave me shoeboxes full of recipes, I have a hard time getting rid of things, so I thought I could bake my way through her recipe collection and share them with you.

I love baking, and I love vintage things. Her collection of recipes combine those two things into one! Some of the recipes even include notes that she has written on these cards from before I was even born! My Grandma is 90 years old, so some of these recipes are old fashion, but I am excited to try and share them. I know that these recipes are tried and true favorites that she has baked throughout her years, so that makes them a great source for finding your new favorite recipe!

Each recipe was either written out by her or cut out of a magazine and taped to a notecard, that is how she kept them organized throughout her lifetime. I have now inherited those shoeboxes and will be going through and testing recipes to see what she was baking back when my dad was a kid. My grandma worked in a large school as their head cook, and also did a lot of baking for her church, so there are even some baking notes as well, like how to adjust the recipe to feed 100 people!

If you are an antique lover, vintage lover, or baking lover, I believe this blog will bring you joy from some recipes from the past, and some that were my Grandma’s go-to, welcome to Inherited Recipes.
