Along with my family’s fudge recipe, Bird’s Nest have been a staple in our Christmas baking rotation for as long as I can remember! They also go by other names, haystacks! We know them as bird’s nests, and since they are a no-bake treat, I was very very young when I first started helping my mom make these! No-bake cookies are a great way to incorporate young kids into baking! You only need 4 simple ingredient’s melt it in a big pan, then let them set up for about 10-20 minutes and they are ready to be eaten! Or if you’re like me, you eat them when they are still warm 😉

Ingredients you will need

  1. Chocolate Chips
  2. Butterscoth chips
  3. Peanutbutter
  4. Chow Mein Noodles

Recipe Tips & Tricks

This is a pretty straightforward, easy recipe, but my biggest tip would be to keep your pan on low heat! I know it’s tempting to crank the heat to make the chocolate melt faster (because I used to do that) but you risk burning the chocolate and then all the Bird’s Nests will have a nice burn flavor.

If you want to give these as gifts, you can put each individual Bird’s Nest into a muffin tin with a cupcake liner! I started doing that last year when I would put them in cookie boxes and it’s a great way to keep them cleaner, and perfectly packaged!
