Cinnamon Rolls are easily one of my favorite “breakfast” foods, yet because they are so sweet, I do not have them often. I have also searched for a recipe that was easy and fool proof. This is that recipe. This is my favorite cinnamon roll recipe, it is so easy and so delicious, and the result is a very consistent, fluffy, not-too-sweet, cinnamon roll. These cinnamon rolls also make a really great gift! I just got done making 6-dozen cinnamon rolls for this Christmas season!

Recipe Tips & Tricks
If you want super fluffy cinnamon rolls, make sure they are in a warm place when they rise and let them rise for a maximum of 6 hours! 3 hours will do in a pinch, but they will be so fluffy and delicious!
Baking cinnamon rolls in a cast-iron skillet is a really fun, rustic way to bake them, and things just taste better in a cast-iron skillet!
To add some fun and festive flair, I like to add green and red sprinkles to my cinnamon rolls during the holidays!

How to Make Cinnamon Rolls
- Warm the water for 1 minute in the microwave. Add the yeast to the water and let it activate (it will get bubbly!)
2. In a stand mixer, add the lemon juice, salt, oil, egg, and sugar and mix so those ingredients are combined. Then add the water/yeast mixture.
3. Add the flour into the mixer, and mix until well combined. It should be a soft and sticky dough, but the dough should not be sticking to the sides.
4. Knead in the stand mixture for 4-5 minutes, and knead by hand for another minute.
5. Let the dough rise for an hour.
6. After it has been rising, roll onto a floured surface into a rectangle. Smear with the softened butter, then sprinkle the brown sugar & cinnamon. Use the rolling pin and roll over the dough and sugar one more time. This packs the brown sugar and makes it a little easier when making and cutting the cinnamon rolls.
7. Roll the dough up from the long end, making sure to not stretch it. Then cut into 1-inch chunks and place into a baking dish. Allow the dough to rise again. If you want really fluffy dough, let it rise for 6 hours, but if you don’t have that kind of time 2-3 hours will do!
8. Bake at 350 for 15-17 minutes!
9. Prepare the frosting, by whipping all the ingredients together so it is light and creamy, and frost the cinnamon rolls when they have cooled!

Mine made about 18 rolls! I rolled them out to 20 inches by about 12-15 inches!
