I have always been a chocolate lover, a chocolate enthusiast, and maybe even a chocolate snob; so when I found this chocolate cake recipe in my Grandma’s collection, I just had to try it. This recipe was super easy to make and has the richest chocolate flavor I have ever tasted in a cake. I made it for my family’s vacation, and it held up the whole weekend and still tasted great! Grandma’s Chocolate Cake recipes will become one of your new favorites!

How to make Easy Chocolate Cake
Preheat Your Oven: First things first, set your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures it’s ready when your batter is perfect.
Melt the Chocolate and Butter: In a saucepan set over medium heat, combine the chocolate and butter. Stir continuously until completely smooth and melted. Remove the pan from the heat.
Whisk the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and creamy.
Combine Wet and Melted: Gradually pour the egg mixture into the melted chocolate mixture, whisking gently until well combined and smooth.
Sift the Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sifting is key here! It removes lumps and ensures a light and airy cake.
Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Pour into two 8-inch, greased cake pans and bake for 25 to 30 minutes
