I can remember my Grandma making these cookies since I was a little kid! When I found the recipe that she wrote, I knew this had to be the next recipe I make! I have made similar cookies before, but not her own recipe! These cookies are so easy, they took probably 10 minutes to make, and they are so delicious! I like to believe that the oats make them a “healthier” cookie option, but I think the sugar says otherwise! LOL

When I was baking these, I had to look up what the ingredient “oleo” was, turns out, it is just butter/margarine! Margarine was actually named oleomargarine from Latin for “oleum” and Greek “margarita” but was later named margarine! This Easy No-Bake Cookie recipe is so simple, and will be sure to fulfill that sweet tooth! Happy Baking!

How to make Easy No-Bake Cookies

  1. First thing, add the sugar and milk, and butter/margarine into a saucepan, and boil for 2.5-3 minutes.
  2. After it has boiled remove from heat, and add the vanilla, cocoa powder, peanut butter (if using) Mix all that together, then add the oats.

3. Spoon onto parchment or foil, and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
