Popcorn is a light and easy snack, but if you're like me, you like your snacks a little on the sweeter side. My grandma's recipe is so easy to make, very straightforward, and practically fool-proof!
- 12 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup butter (half a stick)
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- 1 Tbs molasses
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp cream of tarter
Preheat oven to 200 degrees, and prepare two greased baking sheets
Mix the brown sugar, butter, molasses, and light corn syrup in a sauce pan. Bring to a rolling boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add the baking soda and cream of tarter.
Pour caramel mixture over the popcorn, and stir gently
Add popcorn onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 1 hour, carefully stirring halfway through
