Pecan Pie

Perfect pecan pie has never been easier to make! This is a simple recipe that will be a big hit!

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cup whole pecans
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 Tbs ground flaxseed meal
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 Tbs oil
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • 9 inch pie crust

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a food processor, add 1 cup of whole pecans and the brown sugar and process until a course meal is formed. Place the meal in a medium bowl and add the chopped pecans. Stir until combined.
  • In a large bowl, combine the maple syrup, corn syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, flax seed, milk and oil. Add the pecan mixture to the wet mixture and stir until combined. Then stir in the flour, 1 Tbs at a time. The batter should be thick but still loose enough to pour!
  • Pour the batter into the pie crust and arrange the remaining whole pecans on top. Bake for 45 minutes. Let the pie cool before serving.
