Simple White Cake
A simple white cake recipe with berry filling. Easy to make, and delicious to eat! This makes the perfect summer birthday cake!
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup Butter or shortening room temperature
- 3 Egg whites
- 1 ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 ⅓ cups Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ½ tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Baking powder
Instructions
- White the egg whites until they are light and fluffy, forming soft peaks, then set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar, then add the flour, vanilla, baking powder, and salt and mix untillcombined.
- Fold in the egg whites, until they are fully incoorperated.
- Pour into two round cake pans, or one 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutues or until a knife comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool fully before frosting
