Spritz Cookies

A simple recipe making a delicious butter cookie that can be customized with sprinkles, colors and shapes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter Softened
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1 Tbs Almond Extract
  • 2 ½ cups Flour
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt

Instructions

  • In a stand mixer or bowl, cream together the butter and the sugar
  • Then add in the egg and almond extractand mix until smooth
  • Sift in the flour, baking powder, salt
  • Using either a cookie press, piping bag, or cookie scoop, scoop dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet, decorating with sprinkles if desired.
  • Bake at 375° for 12-14 minutes

Notes

If you are using a cookie press, hold the press flush to the cookie sheet then press the handle. The cookie sheet needs to be ungreased so the dough will stick! If you are using a just. cookie scoop, flatten the cookies a bit with a cookie press or a fork!
